Five students of ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University obtained merit scholarships from the state

Five students from the ”Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova will receive scholarships from the state for academic performance and active participation in extracurricular activities.
According to Order of the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova No. 1298 of September 20, 2024, the holders of the Republic Scholarship and the Government Scholarship in the academic year 2024-2025 are:
- Evelina Feodorovici – 5th year student, Medicine study program – Republic Scholarship in the amount of 4060 lei;
- Maria-Magdalina Teaca – 6th year student, Medicine program – Government Scholarship in the amount of 3380 lei;
- Madalina Budu – 5th year student, Medicine program– Government Scholarship;
- Milena Manic – 6th year student, Medicine program – Government Scholarship;
- Cezar Zagorneanu – 6th year student, Medicine program – Government Scholarship.
It should be noted that the merit scholarships amount increased twice compared to the previous year, in accordance with Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova No. 203 of March 20, 2024.
The eligible candidates for the competition were full-time students whose average grade obtained in the summer session of the previous academic year was no lower than "9" in the technical, agricultural, economic, medical, military, law and real fields of study (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology) and no lower than "9.5" in other fields.
The candidates were selected according to the following criteria: average grades, involvement in educational, research, cultural and sports activities, number of publications, etc.
In total, 42 students from the universities of the country will receive financial aid from the state: Republic Scholarship – 12, Government Scholarship – 30.
Granting merit scholarships is part of the policies promoted by the government to strengthen the higher education system and ensure its alignment with the EU standards, to increase the national and international attractiveness and competitiveness of higher education and post-secondary vocational education institutions of the country, by supporting performance and meritocracy.
